Ft. Ripley MN | Well… not really compatible with farming haha there are alot of folks I work with that farm as well. I would probably be considered a younger fella on this site.. gotta work off the farm to grow it anymore it seems like.
I’m a supervisor of a aggreagate crusher making material for an asphalt plant. I work for a paving company that builds roads. A lot of hours in a week and try to get done what you can on the weekends. Thankfully my dad still is apart of the operation so he does what he can during the week. Just wanting to set myself up for the day he wants to be done. That day is coming sooner than I would like. The good part is I have 3-4 months off during the winter so do all the calving then. I guess the health insurance and retirement benefits are nice as well. Most of my work is typically in Minnesota but they have been pushing the crushers into the Dakotas recently | |
