Illinois | The 4.9 billion conditional loan promised was for Phase 1 ,which was Kansas & Missouri part that is what the Trump administration rescinded. Phase 2 is Illinois and slightly into Indiana with estimates are another 7 billion I believe. The odd thing is everyone here understands that GBE is using fuzzy math . How could anyone know the cost of the easements ? GBE has now stated they will go privately and seek funding. I believe it will be difficult with not significant contracts in place ,and MISO not recognizing GBE as critical to the need . Cost overruns and legal uncertainty. Some that have went to condemnation in Missouri and I have been told have gotten substantial settlements. In Illinois surprisingly most of the offers landowners have shared with me are under the selling market . | |
