Very good and long time friend had something similiar happen about a month ago. In this case it was with a credit union system called shared banking. He did not know he had it, I did not know I had it either! Anyway someone in Pennsylvania used friends wifes name and pulled over $7,000 from his farm account using shared banking. Since he only checks this acount about once a month it took quite awhile to catch up with, I would guess when the monthly statement came out. After I heard about shared banking I went to the credit union and had that closed on every account wife and I had with them. |
