west central Iowa | I windrow and bale several patches of old CRP ground for half.
Usually don't have to rake. I think it works out pretty well, usually I buy the landlords half. Some will need fertilizer soon, then it will get interesting. The way I understand it landlord should pay half for fertilizer, makes sense, I shouldn't pay for fertilizer to make more hay to pay for. If they won't pay for fertilizer I'll just stop haying and trees will take over. | |
