Central Illinois | I have in floor heat in our basement and base board heat on the first floor. Each level is on a separate zone heated by a high efficiency LP boiler. The first floor has a higher temperature water flowing through it. The basement has a mixing valve to limit the water temperature. It works well on both levels. Air conditioning is a separate system.
In your situation putting under floor heat on the first floor would be an option I would choose instead of baseboard heat. | |
