| I would replace it now. Or you can order a new shaft and have it ready to go for when the old one breaks later. There is just too much of a cyclic stress (bending moment) at that location to try and weld it back up.
The risk of nicking the shaft is the reason why I usually knock the balls out of those stubborn bearings. After that, I just heat the leftover inner race and slide it off.
