Subject: Nicked a shaft with the torch, now what?


Temple, TX		I tried washing a bearing race off the fan shaft on the combine and ended up taking an out a dime sized piece of the shaft maybe an 1/8 deep. Shaft is about 1.5” and the spot will be under the inside 1/3 of the new bearing. What would you do?

Edit to clarify this is the driven end
