| Auto-mode does control the fan speed, but in my opinion the controller allows the fan speed to drop to too low of a setting. Then the air sensors cannot get a good realtime representation of the interior air workings. In the words of automation, garbage in equals garbage out. Additionally, too low a fan speed setting causes havoc in other areas of an AC system, such as icing up the evaporator.
