Good points Chris. Most folks needed a tractor that size are hay and livestock farmers. Not much profit margin in those to justify lots of extras on a tractor. Not sure what one of those Vermeer trenchers cost. I bet 200k by the time you modify something like that for ag use.
When some buys a new 100 hp tractors your dealership, how often do they chose 4710 vs 5710 vs 6712?
Probably 10 to 1 4700 to 5700/6700
We sell a a pretty decent split of 4707 to 4710, and maybe 2-3 5711's a year and a random 6712/6713.
Guys either want no DEF so they choose the 4707, or they need 80PTO HP and choose the 4710 for price over needing the bigger frame of a 5700/6700. Guys pulling 13' haybines will choose the bigger HP, or guys that are farming with 6/13 row planters, spraying, etc with a 5711.
The 5711 Dyna 4 almost killed the 6700 tractors. The new M series machines will shake things up a bit as well.
