We use lots & lots of ss fasteners here. I'm familiar with galling.
I'm also familiar with rust.
I've never had a mild nut rust tight on a SS bolt. I have had a SS nut gall itself to a SS bolt many times.
Yes the mild nut will rust away and the proper size wrench won't be tight enough to take it apart, all you need to take it apart is a good vise grip. When the SS galls together you either cut it apart or twist the bolt off.
Why did John Blue use these?
