As long as the additive has been used i believe they will still cover the engine yet if there's an issue with the rings.
Not outside 10 years from manufacture date they won’t. Just went through this on a sprayer manufactured in 2014. No help.
Short block installed $30-40k and complete motor would be $75k range in a sprayer anyway.
Check your oil cooler and the o-rings on it. I believe that was my issue.
