Northeast Indiana | The problem is when we go to side dress and it isn't quite on the same line as the rest of the field. If you shutoff the overlap rows when planting, the part of the side dress bar running in the regular rows ends up ripping out a lot of the corn plants. We've started turning off the section control on the planter in those areas so that when the nh3 knife rips out plants, there should be others left from the overlap. Its definitely not a perfect solution, but it helps. | |
