| Unless your sheep are extra tall you don't need the top wires to be hot. I have one 5 wire that only has one hot in the middle but no sheep. You might consider connecting the bottom wire to the ground and back to the energizer. That makes the path for the electric shock very short and hot. I also place a few deep grounds placed along the entire length of the fence that are attached to the bottom wire. Even the deer respect this fence | |
