Starting trade wars is not making other countries STOP their tariffs; it'll make the ESCALATE them.

First of all, I don't even think most of the countries we're levying tariffs on are in NATO. But anyways, we agree that our European allies need to start meeting their defense spending committments. Tariffs won't do that, though.
All these tariffs will do is make things more expensive for Americans. Tariffs are taxes. |
