Galena IL | Different soil in different places but I have several bins over 100,000 bu. setting on 18 X18 inches around the outside and 6 inches deep through the center. A 12 X 12 column of shelled corn 100 ft tall weighs 4480 lbs. the front tire of my semi has 5000 lbs per sq foot and I drive it out in the field to load and often leave it sit over night ,it doesn't sink....
