| One thing about hooking up a generator, is to make sure you understand where to bond the equipment grounding conductor to the nuetral. If you just ground here and there with no thought process, you will probably have objectionable current on the grounding conductor. Objectionable current isn't exactly the end of the world, but it is definitely something that neeeds to be avoided ... especially around livestock.
