SW ND | Combine when you factor in depreciation. Trucks do suck but I can buy a newer truck for 25-40k and junk it out if something major goes wrong. A newer combine seems to loose 100k per year even if you don’t use it.
I won’t buy a 150k Peterbilt either to haul grain. Costs just as much to run and maintain as a cheaper truck. Grain elevators don’t pay more based on what truck you drive. | |
