Anyone else disappointed with Ram's parts availability lately? This fall I was dealing with an overheating problem with my 2019 Ram 2500 with the 6.4 gas. Initially, I thought it was a thermostat problem so I called my Ram dealer. They were on backorder. Ended up buying one from a parts store. Turns out my electric fan went bad, and that is on backorder from Ram as well. It wasn't available through parts stores, so I had to resort to a wrecking yard to buy one.

I ran into this problem a few years back with a different part and I ended up calling the Ram customer support number and they got the part expedited to me, but that didn't work this time.

New trucks are being built with this part every day, but Ram doesn't seem to have enough to supply their dealerships.

Are other brands the same way, or did I just happen to need a few parts that weren't available at the moment?

I did just replace a wheel bearing and was surprised to find out that Rockauto's options were very limited. They were out of every brand except Moog.

I know during covid, parts availability was hit and miss across a lot of brands. Maybe the effects are still being felt?

This is a post from January of 2017, "Green Farmer" needed a thermostat for his Ram with 6.4 engine (I believe this is the second of his 2 posts about his problem.)

He was told it would be 9 weeks before they had a thermostat for him, (he posted on 1/28/2017). Edit: his truck was down for several weeks, on January 28 he was told they "thought" they would have one by February 24, which would make it 9 weeks total.

After posting on NAT, they had a thermostat for him on 1/31 and his truck was fixed that day.
