My grandfather bought this tractor used in 1983. It replaced a 4020. It was sold new locally and has lived its life within a few miles of here. In its youth, it was on an 8-row planter, pull type sprayer, row crop cultivator, gravity wagons, etc.

In 1998 it was “retired” to chore work. Mowing and running augers.

Dad bought the tractor from grandpa in about 1992 and I bought it from him in 2014. I have only used the tractor for running augers since.

I recently bought a much newer & bigger "little tractor", not thinking about what I’d do with this as it’s been here 40+ years. I have no use for it anymore, other than collecting, and I’ve got to many collectibles, so I guess it’s time to say goodbye.

The good has been mentioned. The bad: the cab was replaced as it was slightly damaged in a building that was blown over. Insurance company wouldn’t allow a cab repair, so they bought a brand-new refurbished cab and put on it in 2012. If you're a purist, this will bother you. If you're going to use it, this is a plus. The cab is nearly perfect.

It’s ready to use for whatever you need a 100HP tractor for. The AC will lose its juice, but sometimes holds it for the summer. It’s got a few little leaks, but nothing that needs attention.
