To all Farm Bureau Organizations, Farmers, Ranchers etc;
The Cass Morgan County Farm Bureau
(Illinois
) is in the midst of collecting items in an effort to aid Nebraska flood victims. We have several semi loads of hay already donated and some fencing supplies, which is greatly appreciated!! We are communicating with the Director of IL Department of Agriculture, who has been in contact with the Nebraska Director of Agriculture who expressed a great need for fencing supplies.
We are generating a final push to increase our fencing supplies drive. Our goal is 1,000 metal T-posts of which we currently have approximately 100. We encourage anyone to donate posts and usable rolls of barb wire to help us complete our goal of 1000. The collection site is the Morgan County Fairgrounds. If you have posts or fencing supplies that you can donate and are within 100 miles of Jacksonville, IL we may be able to come pick them up. If you’d like to make a monetary donation you can do that to our foundation and we’ll use that money to purchase fencing supplies. Please contact Lindsay McQueen for additional information on monetary donations.
We are also looking for assistance with the transportation of the hay and other supplies from Jacksonville, IL to various parts of eastern Nebraska.
Our goal is to have things consolidated by the 10th of May. We appreciate all your help and support! For additional information please contact anyone listed below.
