1984 Volkswagen Rabbit Convertible - Gas

107000 actual miles, Excellent condition, last year of the original rabbit

1.8L Fuel Injected, 5 Speed, Starts, runs, and drive great. This car was purchased new at Don Bessette Motors in Minot, ND. I have the original bill of sale, original service contract, warranty manual, and ops manual. This car was purchased new, driven minimally, and put into storage in Minot in the late 90s. The owner passed away and I purchased it in roughly 2014. I drove it a few times but it has basically been taking up space in my garage since then. I replaced both fuel pumps and fuel filter about three years ago. Tires are in good shape, no rust to speak of, original paint is in excellent condition (a few rock chips but not many). Engine has no leaks. Overall the interior is very good. The original top is in very good condition. I wouldn't be scared to drive it anywhere. The car was decked out with many factory options like a/c, cruise control, alloy wheels, pinstriping, block heater, factory floor mats, and rear defrost. The top functions properly but has a bent shock on the drivers side, I have two new shocks for the top but never installed them, they are part of the sale. Everything is fully functional and in great shape with the exception of the following:

- a/c does not work, compressor does not kick in

- cruise control does not work

- intake preheater line from the engine to the intake/injection control has a hole in it

- soft top has a slight tear by the rear window and its starting to pull out of the rear window trim a

little bit on the top

- right rear marker light is burnt out

- driver's seat has a tear on the side, passenger seat has a little rip

- two out of the three gauges for the center console have broken trim, the gauges are all fully functional though

I was unsure what to ask for it as I can't find anything on the market to compare it to. I'm open for offers but I'm in no hurry to sell it, I've seen quite a few rabbits over the years and I have never seen an original/unrestored one this nice. Spend a little time on it and it will be perfect I have more pics if needed, come take a look, you won't be disappointed. You can text, call, or message me 701-269-7542
