Subject: Mixing 28% Nitrogen and liquid 10-34-0

Corydon, IA
Been thinking about the possibility of using a planter mounted coulter of some kind to 4x4 side band some liquid 28% or 32% for my nitrogen source and wondered why a person couldnt also pump some 10-34-0 liquid P from a seperate tank out into the same coulter with the 28% by teeing them together somewhere near the coulter? Reason I am thinking about this is I would like to apply some or all of my nitrogen with the planter and side band some P at the same time. My soil recommendations for P vary alot on my farms from field to field and my thoughts were that I could more easily adjust the rate on the P better than if it all got mixed in one tank. Would it make a big mess or end up not working or have some kind of reaction after it was in the soil?

Also been wondering if anyone makes a dual tube knife or coulter just for such application?

I also wonder what effect stabilizers would have on each other if they were used?

Any ideas anyone?
