Millhouse, I would agree. I'll put my money on the CAT every day. Heavier and better built tractor all around plus that C9 is one gutsy engine. Plus, hp is only part of the story. JD's can develop hp but they don't have nearly the same torque curve as a Cat, and the torque curve is what gives you performance in the field, not a brief peak in hp like JD's develop so that they can advertise a higher number. Wish all these manufacturers would have to publish hp AND torque curves for their tractors. That would be the only way to do accurate comparison shopping with respect to tractor size and capability.
