Iowa | The old picture and old service manual you have is for the early style/design. The engine in the 2003 truck is the new style/design. There is also two different fuel transfer pump designs. Did you give the parts guy your FULL engine serial number, so he would be able look the parts up on the computer for your specific engine? IF he said that there is a spring in front of the valve, he is sending you, it will be wrong. I also suggest you talk to a different CAT parts dept employee with more experience, if possible. Sounds like the parts guy you spoke with is just trying to do a "generic search". | |
