Subject: Case-IH 7140 fuel bleed down problem

I have a 7140 that the fuel bleeds down when it sits for a little while. After sitting overnight it will not start unless I bleed the injection pump. The fuel transfer/lift pump was changed with no improvement. Any other check valves in the system? Any other things to try?

Thanks!

my 7120 will do it also unless the fuel tank is full. then is can set and start up anytime. I am guessing a fuel line getting rotten

Replace filters if you havent done that yet. My 7120 was acting the same.

Dont forget to change the small, inline filter at the back left corner of the engine. I always found that the inline filter caused more problems than the spin-on filter.
