I suppose it always does with all of the irrigation but all of the dryland through there looked like about 180 bushel corn.

But wasn't that dry land 200+ last year?

I don't know the answer to that. I was told that 150 was normal in the area we stopped. I didn't actually go out into any fields but it sure looks beautiful from the road.

Central Nebraska
I spent the weekend in Dundy county and also went to Imperial (Chase county) for the fair. The corn did look good out there, other than the hail pockets.

In that area, dryland pops look to be in the 12k range. 100 bushel dryland corn is good, I would guess. It did look capable of that (from the road). The irrigated corn from Grand Island to SW Nebraska looked decent, maybe not as good as normal. This is all from the road, though. I don't walk into other people's fields.

Beans... going to be a lot of train wrecks due to weed pressure, IMO. Too many guys pushed the "no pre, Roundup twice" program a year too long, I think. I hate to see it, because I've been there myself.

Southwestern Indiana
Drove across Nebraska last week and couldn't believe all the weedy beans.

Retailers in my immediate area never pushed Liberty until this year and too many guys buy into the liberty "yield drag." It will only be a matter of time before Liberty is no longer effective here, I'm guessing.

i sure hope you're not expecting more than a couple out of DT beans, the buffers you left at the edge of your field this year will plant your traited weeds for next!
