Mountain West
It sure seems like there is room for improvement in gas milage. We have a "74 IH two ton gas burner that gets 10mpg hauling wheat during harvest, 10,000# empty, 30,000# loaded on a 40 mile round trip by drivers that are not known for regulating the gas pedal. If a 32 year old Holley carburetor in a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a square block of wood can do this, it would seem a modern 6000# SUV should do a lot better.
