Get into vegetables ant that's getting started with tillage.


Seeing what goes into a vegetable crop inputs or tillage wise would scare the heck out of 95% of farmers.

I trade ground with one of the neighbors who grows potatoes. He'll fall till an alfalfa field to grow potatoes on it the next spring. The number of passes is in the teens. But he's been doing it longer than I've been alive, and grows some excellent crops. There is nothing recreational about it. Even I was surprised at how compacted the ground had become with alfalfa, haying equipment driving all over 3-4x's year packs it 2' down.
