South-central Nebraska | I see recreational tillage occur when:
1. Guys are afraid to change from what Dad and before him, Grandpa did.
2. Big operations with lots of hired help. Can't stand to let them have a day off so put them on tillage until the weather changes or its time to move to the next cropping step.
3. Spring starts early or fall goes late and there is time to do it. Maybe do it again and again.
4. Guys cut back or start retirement by cutting back but kept all of there equipment and feel the urge to rack up hours and use it. | |
