Whitehouse | Need more info first. What style injection pump? They could come with several, to name a few:
Stanadyne mechanical
Stanadyne electronic
Bosch vp44
Really late model ones could be common rail as well
For a mechanical pump, if it has power to the shutoff solenoid ( make sure it has power while cranking as well) and fuel supply, it should run. If no power, check the sensor for the cold start feature, it is threaded into the thermostat housing if it has one, and plugs in line with the shutoff solenoid.
If it's a stanadyne electronic, check the plug that goes into the back of the pump in the center of the injection lines. If it's burnt/melted looking or otherwised damaged that's likely your problem.
does it try to start at all? Any smoke? When you crank it with all injection lines loose does air blow out any of the fittings? Have had several with injector tips broken off.
