Living organisms are not so compatible with fertilizers as a group. Sporolated bacteria are more tolerant as are fungal spores. Enough Mycorrhizia to make a difference will be very expensive.
If you are looking for fertility in-furrow, zinc on corn has proven very helpful everywhere, especially on soils high in P. I don't go for fertility in-furrow on soybeans because it can kill the rhizobia in inoculants and I'm for inoculating before in-furrow applications of nutrients. Nitrogen is a major need (5#/bu produced) and inoculation is the cheapest and most effective way to get that. | |
