I have been setting up my planter for some in furrow fertility .The problem is I'm not sure what I want to experiment with it seems that just a low salt starter is controversial as to yield boost. So is their a micro nutrient / low salt starter combination that would be more of a yield boost ? This will be dry land corn and irrigated corn/popcorn.What about some tests for soybeans any ideas or ingredients you like? Inoculant ?biologicals ?

some ideas include:

an ortho starter
mycorrhizal fungi and other beneficials developed to be run IN FURROW -- not all biologicals mix great with other stuff you're likely to put in there.
chelated micros -- probably zinc heavy in corn, iron heavy in beans
organic acids / chelating agents
some guys get something out of fungicide.

your mileage may vary,
Teddy
