SE Kansas
^^ Agreed, cooler spring temps, plus the nature of those chemicals will make that henbit stick around longer than you would like.

Are you talking a solid mat of henbit or a scattered amount? Fields with heavy weed pressure will make the pre's less effective as they will get tied up with weeds instead of soil.

I got an itch with running burndowns along with the main PRE, espicially after the planter has rolled across the field. A stressed weed is the hardest weed to kill. Dust, damage from equipment, and disruption with the soil are all pieces that make a weed harder to kill. Now, if you've down a BD prior and the paraquat is solely for any stragglers or new emerged weeds then Im all for that program. Zidua/Metribuzin is sweet.

What about switching out the paraquat for 1.5 oz of Sharpen? Get similar fast acting burndown plus another residual. That being said, your ground will have to be heavy enough to have the Sharpen that close enough to the planter.
