IRA on autopilot is an IRA that returns more than the government mandated MRD (Minimum Required Distribution) for any age. Authorize your IRA custodian to send you a check for the MRD every year, and authorize the custodian to withhold the government part of your MRD (Income tax owed on IRA MRD every year). That way the IRA MRD money just keeps coming forever, or until you expire (you can't outlive IRA on autopilot MRD money). IRA investments that return more than government mandated MRD for any age are not that difficult to find. |
