That wasn't a ladder, it was road kill that you removed before someone struck it, thank you for your civic pride. I worked with a NRCS agronomist who came to my office for a training session, he said "come out and look at the road kill I picked up". I see enough dead deer to satisfy curiosity but he persisted so I followed him out to parking lot where he proudly show off 2 slightly dented Jackson construction grade wheelbarrows. He said they slid off of a contactors pickup which just kept on traveling.
