Marion, Ohio | I wouldn't mention the manufacturers name, its not a faulty product. It wasn't properly supported as others have said. We use ADS tile, ADS clearly states in their manufacturers warranty that the tile, irregardless of size must be properly supported as per their illustration. If there is a tile failure, they can determine rather quickly whether it was properly installed. If the bedding of the tile doesn't meet their requirements, well...........they aren't going to cover the bill. Weve replaced several mains for customers that had the same contractor do their work in the 90's. Those mains were put in with a chain machine and they all failed the same exact way as yours. I can show you 4" plastic tile that has failed 3 yrs after being plowed in by a big name brand plow. All due to the cutter of the plow cutting a wide flat bottom and not getting a grove or any crumb in place to support the tile. | |
