My grandmother sold some land to a church for cemetery expansion, and then later, my mother sold some more to the same church for the same purpose. Each time a restriction was placed on the deed that the land was to be used for cemetery purpose only.

 The church now has plenty of land for many, many years of cemetery expansion, but may be getting cramped for building and parking expansion. Can the church have the restriction removed or how strong are deed restrictions?
