| We have some bins that are fairly full with Corn and Bins and they are priced/scheduled for delivery this June and July. They are in good condition right now and most of them are cored to the edge. We check with every other week and run the fans to make sure there's no noticeable smell developing. A few of the bean bins have a little firmness on top, but overall are in still good condition. I am thinking we should run some fans on them on some low humidity days just to keep things well. Is that a problem if I do it on a day when temperatures are in the 50's? I really don't want to warm the bins up too much as cooler grain naturally stores longer. What are some of your experiences as to your approach when heading out of winter into Spring/Summer with stored grain? I'm wondering if a little fan circulation every couple weeks would be a good thing? TIA | |
