We utilize a pen setting, 14x40 would be ideal for 4 10x10 pens, my thought is that calves stay much fresher when not tied in.
Thats kind of what I was thinking. Making pens, you have options of tied or not tied. Without them, the barn would be much too big, but with them it would be about right.
