Eastern NC | Understand the pet peeve, but how is it any different than spending money on baseball gear, traveling and so forth.
Lots of folks like to point out how "show cattle" are so bad, but at the end of the day efficiency is key. A comfortable animal that is well taken care of performs at the best of its genetic potential, so how is it wrong to pursue this?
When it comes to a cooler, it makes the project simpler, but if you don't put in the work, you still won't succeed.
I have been involved with showing livestock the past 15 years, and I firmly believe that kids in the barn learn a whole lot more than kids at the ballpark.
