I was on the Kittyhawk as a guest. They were still flying Tom cats then. There is nothing louder than a old Tomcat on the cat. The old ones had to have after burner to get off the ship, the newer ones did not. I was on the deployment that had a F14 slipt in half on landing. Watching a F14 on full after burner on the cat and I was thinking of capturing that heat to dry corn! Two inches away as loud as you could yell you couldn't hear the guy next to you.









For some "crazy" reason I fell in love with the Tomcats. Watching cats take off and land on a boat would amazing in person.
