Southeast Colorado | I can't help if your school finance system is poorly designed. I've been on our board for almost 12 years. We are in good shape financially and have a flexible mill levy which the board has control of setting. We have not been taking the max amount for years. We also have not built a new building since 1979. Unfortunately some inspector says our gas lines and water heaters are not up to code on a building that's now been working for 50 years so we may have to undergo major renovation for that. Funny how everything is just fine until new rules make us suddenly out of compliance. | |
