Missouri | I just had a neighbor leave. He offered me 4 quarters he is selling. Last week I had 3 realtors sign land around me. All told, 24 quarters are for sale within 10 miles of my house. There was never that much land for sale in the 80's at one time. I am pretty sure the banks are forcing these sales except for 3 quarters. If anyone is interested in paying $100/ acre in taxes, email me and I will forward you all this land. I think I will just wait and see how low it gets. I know other areas of the country have not seen any drop in land prices, but I believe in Nebraska, our high taxes are about to take a toll on land values. We lost about 70% value in the 80's. It looks to me that locally anyway we are heading to that same %. | |
