Bought 3 things right in a row at a sale, I walked over a half block away to get my pickup to load them, heard my bidding number called after the bidding of one of the next items. when I went to pay I just told them I wasn't paying for anything I never bid on. This auctioneer was great for imaginary bidders.
I probably had the same auctioneer.
25+ years ago I was bidding on a small, single axle truck. I had the bid at $2500 when and old timer started bidding me up. He got the winning bid at $5000 when I quit. They asked for his number and he says he wasn't bidding. MF!!! They said I had it for $4500. I should have made them start over but I thought the truck should've brought 4500 anyway. |
