i believe the cable coming out of the nav is a 9 pin serial which is usually the connection on the insight display cable.


The above is true with the generic Octopus cable on the Nav II. Your cable may be different with the factory steering and the Pro 700.

If your cable does have a 9 pin out connection, a cable from there can go to the Insight. It will need to be a "Null modem gender changer" and obviously long enough to reach. Ag Leader has a short version of this and usually came with a system but can easily get lost. When I worked as a tech we made our own which included a power branch to power a generic GPS if needed. Ours was about 6' long to provide the extra length sometimes needed in certain situations.

I would think that the cable that they got for you should work. The GPS would need to be configured properly for Port B. Possibly that was not done.
