Subject: Do Phosphorous freeing products actually work?

Did a small test on a phosphorous freeing product before I was going to use it in the field (don't want to name the product because my testing might be poor).
I calculated the volume of soil in a small corn plants root zone and then applied the correct amount of 9-18-9 starter and phosphorous freeing product to the soil and the amount of water equal to a 1/2 inch rain and mixed up in a plastic bag, let sit for a day and then sent to Midwest. Soil was from a bag of topsoil from garden center and water was distilled.
I had 4 samples I sent to Midwest -
1. Soil with only a simulated 1/2" amount of rain
2.Soil with 9-18-9 and 1/2" rain
3. Soil with phosphorous freeing product only in 1/2" rain.
4. Soil with phosphorous freeing product and 9-18-9 in 1/2" rain

Results-
The phosphorous freeing product did nothing. Has anybody else had any luck testing any phosphorous product to determine if it works? Or is my test screwed up. Thanks
