| What is normal procedure in your area ?
1.) If there is a field that borders a ditch that does not have drainage tile into that ditch, is the owner still required to pay ?
2.) If that farm has surface drains, is the owner required to pay, would this be prorated somehow ?
3.) If there is brush / trees, Is the landowner expected to pay more, and is it pro rated somehow ?
4.) If there is woods along the ditch, is that land owner required to pay extra for clearing and is it prorated somehow ?
5.) What kind of time frame in years do you normally see for the ditch to be redipped or done over ? 20, 30, 40 years or more ?
6.) Do you have an option to do a private pool of landowners, versus going thru a county or soil and water district / NRCS ? and is one way more money than the other ?
7.) Do you have maintenance options ( from soil and water / NRCS ) , and is it worth it ?
I realize this is painting with broad brush for questions and expected answers, but curious how it works in your area.
