Subject: Wilrich Stalk Chopper

Windom, MN
I see one on Big Iron that is broken. Says that one side no longer turns. I'm kind of in the market for a chopper, so wondering if they are good, and if it's a huge deal that one side no longer works. I imagine it needs a gearbox rebuild, but I don't know if parts are available since it looks like they don't build them anymore on their website. Or are the ones that drive from the end better? My only experience with choppers are old choppers, I've had 2 lundells that drive from the end on a belt.

i just saw this one, it's close, and if I could get it for a deal it might fit what I need, but I also don't want to buy it and find out that I can't get parts. It does look similar to an Alloway, and maybe they built them for Wilrich, but I'm not sure. If someone could tell me a little more about these it would be appreciated.
