Turner County, SD | I share similar views but have changed my mind a bit on the importance of a memorial stone. As an amateur genealogist, I rely quite heavily on the grave stones placed in area cemeteries. A relatively small stone with complete name and COMPLETE date of birth and date of death, is not very expensive. The use of 1900- 2000 as an example in many stones is not all that helpful for those of us who are using them for research. While this stone means absolutely nothing to you, it may well mean a great deal to your descendants. | |
