Central Iowa | Yeah, I went through it about 10 years ago, before anyone in the midwest would really take it seriously. Here's my advice:
Don't screw with this. You need antibiotics today. I didn't test positive, but I had all the signals. The tick, the rash, the fever 7 to 10 days later. Then, my brain is on fire. I develop a palsy and shake like an old man. I was 45. I still take gabapentin for the palsy. My conceptual thinking faded and never came back.
Go find a doc, find a quack, or as our pet veterinarian told me, I could have gone to him! I would never recommend self treatment, but in this case, I'll make an exception. If you can still get pet antibiotics, get some of those if all else fails. These are desperate times for you, brother. Heed my words, and find some way to get treated.
